Our little gummy bear..

We had another sonogram done this past Monday. We got some more pics of our little one and also got to hear the heartbeat. It was SO amazing!! I just cant believe how much the little one has grown since the last sonogram. You can actually see a "baby" now instead of a big blob, ha! The nurse told us when we were looking at the pics that he/she looks like a little gummy bear and I think she hit it right on. Look at the big head, big body, and little limbs. SO tiny, SO cute, SO sweet, SOOOOO loved! We go back on the 20th for our 1st appt w/ the Doctor. Chadd hasnt met him yet and I've only met him once so it'll be nice to talk w/ him. We met w/ this nurse his past Monday. She was SO sweet and really took the time to answer any questions we had. Of course we went in w/ a list since its our first and we have lots and lots of questions :D :D

The 1st pic is our little baby and at the bottom it shows the heartbeat. The heartbeat was 175. Boy or Girl.. hmmmmm......

Baby is not quite yet an inch. Can you believe its so small? It is the size of a pinto bean right now.. grows so quickly though. It just looks like it would be so much bigger from the pics.

Oh yeah, they changed our due date back to December 17th. We're just leaving it to the 17th, regardless of what the sonogram's say. I know it'll probably flucuate from time to time and we dont want to have to keep going back and forth. Soooooo.... tomorrow I'll be 9 wks!! I'll be back w/ a 9 wk update soon!! :D xoxo

8 weeks today!

Its been a month since we found out we're pregnant.. I'm still trying to decide if time is flying or creeping by. I feel like I should look more pregnant or feel more pregnant than I do. I guess I'm really lucky in that sense though, and I also know I probably wont start showing for another couple months especially with it being my first. Luckily alot of the bloating has gone away but I still feel like I'm getting bigger every day. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.

I'm still feeling GREAT other than one minor (HUGE) issue. I feel like my body is constantly filled with gas. And I'm not meaning that to be gross.. but you know when you get those gas pains, I have them starting mid-afternoon until I go to sleep at night. Its awful.. I lay down and hold my stomach and hope to fall asleep at 7pm cause I have felt so awful. Someone told me it could be heart burn or acid reflux though, which I've never experienced so that definately could be the case. I'm gonna try some tums or something like that and see if that helps. Thankfully I have the greatest husband in the world, who takes care of me and makes sure I'm still eating. Last night he drove and got me a chicken salad from CFA at 930pm cause I couldnt eat before then. He's wonderful!

For the 8 wks progress report on our little baby Alien. First of all, its about the size of a pinto bean, so its still so tiny (14-20mm long). "It" is starting to grow its little arms, with elbows now being present, and legs and will start growing fingers and toes this wk (awwww!). The eyelid folds and ears are starting to develop but the eyes are still very far apart. They will eventually center themselves out. The tip of the nose is also now present. We go in for our 2nd sonogram this next Monday, where we'll be able to hear the heartbeat!! I cannot WAIT for this appt.. I cant wait to hear the little "swoosh swoosh" I've always dreamed of!! Keep on growing baby Alien.. your Mommy and Daddy cant wait to hold you, kiss you, and love you forever and ever!!

This is a little late but here are the pics from our 1st sonogram on April 28th. I was 6 wks and 6 days for the sonogram. I told you he/she looked like a little blob :D The most beautiful blob EVER!!!
